©003How I Work

I don't drift into things. I pick them on purpose, learn them by building, and see them through.

Learn by building

When I want to understand something, I build a real version of it. I started KOBS Activewear with no experience, then ran sourcing, the Shopify store and social media myself.

Live Shopify store and ~1,000 TikTok followers, from zero

See it through

I produced and designed my school's 200-page magazine to deadline while sitting my A-Levels, then delivered the Class of 2024 yearbook on my own.

200 pages, 1,000+ printed copies

Treat the art like a business

Three EPs taught me that good songs aren't enough. For the album I'm running it like a product launch: rollout plan, visuals and marketing alongside the music.

Leave things better

As Vice-Chair of the African Caribbean Society I set out to grow attendance, and to make events worth coming back to.

Now playing

The projects and ideas I'm working on outside my degree right now: one creative project, one tool I'm building and one business idea. This is the part of the site that changes most.

K.(01) Creative Project

Music. My debut album.Less Reflective, More Accepting.

By Kobi

My first full project and my most vulnerable work yet. After two years and three EPs, I'm releasing this one properly, with the artwork, visuals and marketing rollout planned alongside the music.

K.(02) Side Project

A tool I'm building.With AI.An AI career assistant.

By Kobi

An AI workflow that takes a job description and tailors my CV to it, using only things I've actually done. It runs inside Claude for now, and I'm developing it further.

What it does
  • Picks out what the employer is really asking for
  • Rewrites my CV to match, without inventing anything
  • Drafts cover letters and application answers
  • Runs mock interviews for the role

K.(03) Business Idea

A business idea.Instagram-first, run with AI.A one-person online business.

By Kobi

A business built around Instagram, using AI so one person can run it properly. It's in development now, shaped by what I learned running KOBS.

Three EPs in.

The album is next.

I've been making music for two years. I write, record and engineer my own songs, and I work closely with other artists on their records and mine. I'm still learning, but I'm finally at the point where I can make a full, considered project, which is why the album matters so much to me.

I'm also my own creative director. I set the vision for every release, from the cover art and visuals to the rollout and promotion, so each one feels like a considered body of work rather than just a set of songs. I run it like a small product launch and learn from how each one lands.

On set.

Alongside photography, videography is the creative skill I use most. I shoot music videos and podcast sets with other creatives, from shot list to final cut in Premiere Pro.

Through the lens.

Photography is how I practise seeing, and how I build a brand's visual eye. Live shows including Drake at Wireless and Dave at the O2, London from the Shard, cadet exercises at Otterburn, and travelling South East Asia this year.

The Suttonian

Sutton Grammar School's annual magazine. As producer and designer I led the concept, contributed photography and laid out all 200 pages to a fixed print deadline, alongside my A-Levels. I wanted it to feel like something people kept.

An activewear brand I built from nothing while still at school. I sourced and tested products with suppliers, built the Shopify store, made the launch content and grew TikTok to about 1,000 followers. When supplier delays hit, I re-planned around them.

Flying was my childhood dream, and I still follow aviation more closely than anything.

Five years in the RAF cadets, flights in a Grob G103 Twin Astir and a lot of hours on the flight sim kept the passion going. My internship at Passion Air showed me the business side: route planning, passenger data and how an airline actually makes money. It's an industry I'd love to work in.
